So I was helping Grant up the stairs and into our house and was using my one hand to grab his wrist arm area and pulled him up one step. Well guess what? He started crying. I thought maybe he was tired and angry that we had to come inside. He kept crying and pointed to his wrist. I thought "oh no! I hope I didn't sprain his wrist!" He kept crying and I moved his arm around to see how it affected him and he obviously didn't like it. I thought maybe the pain would pass as some injuries do. So we started doing lunch and Grant kept crying some times depending on how he moved with his arm. So I called the doctor fearing I had done something more serious to his arm. We luckily got in right away and Perry and I could have sworn it was a wrist injury but the doctor, without looking at him said it was most definitely an elbow thing because it would be really hard to do something painful to a child's wrist. Perry and I were thinking "yeah right, he is holding his wrist, not his elbow. We even touched his elbow and it didn't seem painful". Lo and behold he felt the elbow and popped it back into place! What? We let the pain subside and then the doctor said to let him play a little to see if he would use his right arm normally. He began to and then the doctor explained how some tendon or other gets nudged under some other body part (meaning dislocated) and it pinches and causes pain whenever he moves his wrist. So that is why he was holding his wrist. He also said that it doesn't matter how hard or gentle a person pulls on the arm. You just have to be at the correct angle of pulling force to cause it to happen and can be very easy to do. Well I'm never doing that again. He said the elbow will be easily dislocated for a couple days so to be careful. As a child I dislocated my arm and my mom said she knew that my kids would possibly have that happen to them because of me. Maybe its genetic, maybe not.
My sister and brother were babysitting me and my sister thought I should go to bed and my brother thought I should play so they basically played tug-o-war with my arms back and forth, Amber pulling towards my room, Blake pulling towards the play area. Then my arm got pulled out of the socket and I went to bed. My mom didn't know anything happened to me until the next morning, where my arm felt very stiff and sore and she brought me in to get it put back in place. Most injured I've ever been, thank goodness. No broken bones.
To celebrate Grant doing so well at the doctor's we went and got some McDonald's and he gets to have more movie time than normal. So yeah. That's been the event of the day.

Poor Grant! Poor mom and dad! My sister-in-law has a very, VERY easily dislocated elbow. The surgery would leave a massive scar or she'd have it done. Her parents have such sad stories! That's gotta be so rough on you guys, not to mention on him!
I don't remember that story. Poor Grant, poor you. I am glad I haven't had that happen with Paige. I would feel horrible too.
By the way, I like your new background, but the writing is hard to read. Maybe if it were a little bigger or a different color.
