5 Months

Grant is 5 months old! He is growing up so fast and so big now. Some things he can do now are almost sit unattended, he plays the drop the toy game and wants to pick it up again, and then drops the toy again, he babbles and coos and yells more, of course he rolls onto his stomach and can move a little bit from where he is but can't crawl yet. He also can sometimes straighten his arms while on his belly. He is very interested in our food when we eat and can drink water from a cup or water bottle. He also is just so cute and smiley most of the time and I'm pretty sure his favorite person is Aunt Gopher (Milae).

$339

That is the grand total amount that Perry and I have made from selling the stuff we don't want to move! Isn't that awesome! What helped is that we had a yard sale today from 8am to 3pm and made $94 from that alone! Yay! We might of made more than that but I can't think of anything else we might have sold but 339 is what I can remember.

Camping.

It was Grants first time camping. We went to good ole Beaver Dick Park (Terrible name, great place). It's free camping and its clean and just a wonderful place. We just stayed one night and had foil dinners on the fire that turned out fantastic, some marshmallows, and in the morning we cooked breakfast with our iron skillet (pancakes, eggs, and bacon, with a peach) Yum! Grant was a little disturbed the first time he woke up because he didn't recognize the tent as a normal place to be when one wakes so he cried but the rest of the night he was snuggling with me and probably just loved that. We really enjoyed the outing and were in much need of camping. Luckily we get to camp at Whiskeytown lake in a couple weeks in Redding, CA, and I think on my birthday! Woohoo. Fun! We will probably boat a little too. How lucky can we be. Visiting family is the best.

OUch!

Pinched nerve in the upper left region of my back, near my spine. OUCH! It hurts like crap. I can barely pick up let alone feed Grant. Luckily we have some stored breast milk and Perry is finally home from school and work. The nurse says to take 2-3 tablets of 200 mg of Advil and use a heat pad and Perry to massage the area and repeat. I really hope this works. I'm pretty sure I got it from a combination of side lye nursing on a air mattress because I fall asleep nursing him that way. Ugh. I will be more careful in the future.

Moving.

Perry and I will be moving to Henderson, NV August 13. My mom keeps making it apparent that we need to start packing. I think she is right because in 3 weeks my parents are coming for graduation and they will be taking most of our stuff with them, since we will move in with them. Its only temporary of course because Perry will be student teaching. I'm excited to be around my mom mostly cuz I'm a mamma's girl. I have a dilemma though. I will be selling our jogging stroller and I don't know if I should sell the car seat to go with it and buy one that stays in the car or buy a stroller with a car seat again and have one that stays in the car... I'm just not sure.
