Baby, Fall, and....drum roll!

Grant will be eight months old on Tuesday! He just feels so solid now even though he still just weighs 16 lbs. He is babbling and yelling and really getting his attitude peaked. He will tell you with yells and cries if he doesn't like being put down or doesn't want to eat any more. He eats a lot of solids and is mastering his pincer grasp. He can now self feed grapes and cheerios and whatever else we present but he loves feeding himself. Sometimes when I'm spooning something into his mouth he will grab the spoon and put it in his mouth and then chew on it for a moment then let go so I can get another bite for him. He is a happy boy unless he is teething or tired, which I think he might be teething again. He is sleeping well but I am trying to get him to sleep later in the day so that when daylight savings comes I won't be up so dang early. Last night he did awesome. He went to bed at 7:30 pm and didn't even wake until 6:15am! Now that isn't always what happens so don't think I have the perfect baby. But these are just wonderful merciful gifts from God when I get a solid eight hours to sleep myself.

I am so excited for fall. The Vegas weather is beautiful. We keep the windows open all the time and it feels great. It is about 75 for most of the morning and then gets up to about 90. Just great! I am excited for Halloween and pumpkins and just the traditional things we like to do in the next 3 months. I'm a very festive person and get very excited about these types of things.

In other news.... I got a hair cut!! Not just a trim mind you.... I haven't really cut my hair for 3 years. I grew it out for Perry so he could see what I look like with long hair. But I have such a fettish for short hair and change when it comes to hair I just love short short hair!!! So I probably cut off about 8-10 inches off! I love it! I feel young again, like I was when I was 16 when I cut it short and kept it short. Every one says I look thinner and younger. Those are always good things to hear. It kind of makes me more motivated to work out again and get my nice abs back. I won't be able to get rid of my baby stretch marks but really who sees my stomach but my husband and he doesn't care.
